Introduction

My introduction
Hi, my name is Chenwei Jiang, you call also call me as "John". Today I'm going to introduce myself in this blog. I'm currently a George Brown College student in the H116 program. H116 is called culinary management. The reasons I chose this program are: 
1. I love foods from different countries. I love to have a try for every food which is new for me. Tasting food from different countries always makes me feel excited because you'll never know what kind of flavours is waiting for you. 
2. The second reason I chose this program is simple. My father was an executive chef in Novotel Shanghai Atlantis. Therefore, he wants his son also be a chef in the future. This is also one of my dream jobs when I was a child because being a chef which means I can make lots of delicious food. And delicious food can always bring happiness around me, people will laugh when they are eating something great. 

Nutrition is very attractive to me because I want to know how to eat healthy so that I can lose weight. It is very important to know nutrition knowledge for weight losing and fitness practices. Also, healthy eating is also attractive to me, when people hear nutrition, they'll also think another word -- health. 


In terms of my career in 5 years, I think I might be a kitchen helper or waiter, I think I'll have a job about culinary because I love it. It is so interesting to cook delicious food, and seeing people enjoy the food you made, it brings the sense of achievements to me. It's happy to see people enjoy food, and if the food can keep both delicious and health by the knowledge of nutrition, it is very happy to learn nutrition. 

I do feel whatever for now or in the future, nutrition will play a more important role in the culinary industry. Lots of people are noticing theirs' body health, and the way to keep them healthy is to know what they have actually eaten in their mouth. How much fat, sugar, carols, carbohydrates or something else they are having in their breakfast, lunch, or dinner. How many proteins they need to keep having muscles, how many carols we can have at most a day to keep losing fat, what kind of food can keep cancer away from us? These are all some question people discuss with friends or around them. And all of these are questions about nutrition. Learning nutrition is important to get a healthy body and keep disease away from us. 

People love to getting information on the internet, but not all the time people are having the correct information. Lots of information are fake and not credible, so how to determine the credibility of the websites. Actually, we can determine the credibility of the websites in three ways. Here are two websites link, the first one is credible and the other one is may not be credible.

The first link's writer belongs to a credible organization: Eat Right Ontario. Secondly, the qualifications of the author are credible, which is Eat Right Ontario. At last, the author reference the information in the website are partly from Government of Canada, and others are mostly from Eat Right Ontario.
The second link's writer may not belong to a credible organization: fitness magazine. Then, the qualifications of the author are not mentioned in the article. Last but not least, the author reference the information in the website is all by original, so we can't just believe all the information in that website.
